Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.

Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.

Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.

We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend, my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me."

x--- it's going to be hard to say goodbye.

*we could cut ties with all the lies that you've been living in. and if you do not want to see me again i would understand.

i cut my hair in hongkong.
went straight for the bob.
it has been a 3 year long affair.
oh pun intended.
time to let go.

strangely enough, everytime i cut my hair in a drastic fashion, some things come to a grinding finale.
mutely. tragically. dramatically. deservedly.

prophetic maybe, strange definitely.

i constabtly air-finger the foreign space where my hair used to lay on.

my missing security blanket.
so alien, so unnatural, so missed.

but maybe, just maybe.
i do not need this security blanket afterall.

for now,

the lightness of being

is what i need to feel.

Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground
And start new when your heart is an empty room
With walls of the deepest blue

Home's face: how it ages when you're away
Spring blooms and you find the love that's true
But you don't know what now to do
Cause the chase is all you know
And she stopped running months ago

And all you see
Is where else you could be
When you're at home
Out on the street
Are so many possibilities
To not be alone

The flames and smoke climbed out of every window
And disappeared with everything that you held dear
And you shed not a single tear for the things that you didn't need
'Cause you knew you were finally free

'Cause all you see is where else you could be when you're at home
Out on the street are so many possibilities to not be alone
And all you see is where else you could be
When you're at home
There on the street are so many possibilities to not be alone

it can be considered a pensive morning with the figurative cigarette in hand.
watching beyond viedoes on youtube from the laptop.
have not brushed my teeth yet of course.

beyond's hai kuo tian kong.
classic stuff.
my anthem of youth and wanderlust.

oh yes and hello from hong kong!
am lovin and livin it up in this city with the neon disease
life has been programmed at breakneck speed for most,
the half-tourist half student here watches from the sidelines.

i adore the schizo architecture of urban decay, skyscrapping marvels, chi chi vintage hole-in-walls, and the breath-taking view of mountains cloudy skies and the vast sea behind my tale curtain.

so far so good really
folks back home, do chill.
haven't lost my passport or blew all my money so far.
no need for tearful emergency calls. yet.
i have hidden my passport and money so secretively i kinda forgot where i left them

but that's another story for another time.

pensive de la mode;
back to what am i thinking this morning with the figurative cigerette.

freedom. dreams. failure. love. family. home. space. sacrifice.independence. companionship.

will someone walk through it all with me?
or do i need to walk alone?
will you be willing to wait sometimes?
is there time for waiting?
will you be gone when i come back?

its been 15 years since hk lost a defining rock figure who championed peace and most of all, freedom.
